Municipal Judge: Judge Colby Smith-Hynes

 

The Pevely Municipal Division of the 23rd Judicial Circuit Court of Jefferson County is held at 6:30 PM every other Thursday evening at City Hall in the Board of Alderman Chambers. Court department hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm. Please note that anytime City Hall is closed for holidays, weather, etc. the court department will be closed as well.

  • Dockets are called on a first-come, first-serve basis. The doors open at 6:00pm for defendants to begin signing in.

  • For the safety of all of those in attendance, all persons are subject to search prior to entering the court room.

  • If you enter a plea of Not Guilty on your court date, a later date will be set for pre-trial conference or trial.

  • If you plead guilty at Court and you are unable to pay your fine that evening, you must ask the judge for a Payment Agreement. You will not be arrested for not having money to pay your fine the night of court.

  • If you do not come to Court when summoned to do so, a warrant for your arrest may be issued.

If your address has changed, please be sure to update your address with the Municipal Court so that you may receive all necessary notices and paperwork at your correct address.
