In Pevely, parents are fortunate to be able to send their children through an excellent “Triple A” rated school system, the Dunklin R-5 School District, and access state-of-the-art public libraries located within a few minutes travel time of the community. A wide range of higher educational opportunities is available starting with Jefferson College and the area’s vocational-technical schools. Jefferson College is considered one of the best institutions of its kind in the Midwest, offering a multitude of education options for the recent high school graduate and those seeking continuing education credits, with those credits transferable to a four year university. Vocational/Technical programs that can prepare students for certain vocations are also offered.

Within 40 miles of the city, one can find some of the best 4-year institutions of higher learning in the country, including St. Louis University, Washington University and the University of Missouri St. Louis.
