The City of Pevely Water Department maintenance building is located in the southwest portion of the City next to the (WWTP) west of I-55 .The Water Department consists of six wells, five water tanks, three booster pump stations, over 230 fire hydrants, over 35 miles of waterlines, and serves over 1400 customers.
The water is treated with chlorine and fluoride and is tested daily. It is sampled and tested at the county’s health dept. every 2 weeks. It is sampled and tested by the state throughout the year.
The Water Department is operated and maintained by four state certified licensed operators with a combined experience of over 70 years.

Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
For Pevely residents experiencing any potable water related problems such as pressure, discoloration, odor, loss of service, or water leaks, contact City Hall Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. The
City will help with your water problems any way we can.
In case of an emergency, you can call the Pevely Police Department at (636)
475-4498. Be advised that if the Water Department is called in after hours or weekends and it is not deemed a city problem you will have a $50.00 service charge added to your bill.
