The City of Pevely Sewer Department’s fiscal year runs from January 1 to December 31 of each year and currently has an operating budget of $ 760,000.00.
The City of Pevely Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is located in the Southwest portion of the city near Interstate 55. In 2005 the facility underwent a $1,000,000 improvement upgrading the existing extended aeration treatment plant to meet the future design flow of 1.8 million gallons per day (MGD) with a peak hourly flow of 4.5 MGD. The WWTP is meeting all effluent requirements with an average daily flow of 0.79 MGD.
In the Northwest corner of the City, also near Interstate 55 is a 0.065 MGD extended aeration WWTP. This facility serves a newly constructed 145 lot residential development called Hunters Glen. Currently there are 54 sewer connections with an average daily flow of 3,000 gallons per day.
The facility effluents are monitored and permitted through the
Department of Natural Resources (Mo DNR)
The city’s Sewer System consists of over 30 miles of sewer mains. Ranging in 6” to 22” diameter pipe, with over 700 manholes and 8 sewage pumping stations.
