The City of Pevely, Parks Commission is happy to list the following yearly activities we provide for the citizens of the City and our neighbors.

Held every year near Easter at Stacey Reece/Veteran's Memorial Park (formerly Pevely Park #1). The Park is located on Main Street, just south of the Pevely Elementary School.  We divide the children into age groups : 1-3 year olds, 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, 8-10 year olds. Every year we have special cash prizes for the children in age group who are lucky enough to find the special prize eggs. The first place winner gets $25.00, second prize is $15.00 and third prize is $10.00 in each group. This year we will have a special visit from "The Easter Bunny" so parents please bring your cameras! We always have a lot of fun, so please come join us. 

As always, there is no charge to enter.

 

Due to budget cuts the Homecoming Festival was CANCELLED for 2012 through 2014. The 2015 Homecoming Festival has yet to be determined.

The Christmas parade is always held the first Thursday following Thanksgiving. The 2014 parade will take place on December 4th. Every year the parade has a "theme", the 2014 theme is TBA. We use the theme to judge the float entries for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. These floats receive a cash prize between $150.00 and $50.00. All parade participants are encouraged to throw candy to the many children that line the parade route.  The parade route is determined in November.

The Cities of Pevely and Herculaneum reserve the right to refuse entry to any float, organization, group or individual that we feel would be offensive to the residents of the Cities. Anyone or group may join the parade, all we require is that an application be filled out in advance so that we know who is participating and what type of entry they are bringing. 2014's parade route is as follows:

The parade will line up and start at Herculaneum Fairgrounds on Joachim Avenue. The route will follow Joachim Avenue towards Commercial Boulevard (Highway 61-67) turning right onto Commercial Boulevard then turning left onto Lions Drive and then a right onto Old State Road and ending at Pevely City Hall. Santa will be available for photos at City Hall.
