National Prescription Drug Take Back Program:
Pevely Police Department will be working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on October 29th from 10am to 2pm. A representative will be available during these hours to collect any unused and expired medications.
In September 2010 on the DEA's first nationwide take-back day, Americans turned in over 242,000 pounds - 121 tons - of prescription drugs at nearly 4,100 sites operated by more than 3,000 state and local law enforcement partners.
Unused and expired drugs are becoming an increased safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose and abuse. Please let us help you dispose of these properly.
